The 2009/10 season ended a lot better than it started.
The season kicked off with a 5-0 loss at Paignton AFC putting hopes of a Devon Senior cup run to bed at the first hurdle.
The League form was indifferent with only 5 points being picked up until March 2010, this wasnt helped by only 1 game being played from the end of October until the end of January due to the wet weather at the end of 2009. The league suffered the loss of 2 teams through the season - Newton Orient withdrew in December and the Royal Standard withdrew in February.
Form picked up in the couple of months - winning the last 5 games of the season, giving a great end to the season finishing with the best ever points total in Div 1 in 4th position.
The Vic reached the Quarter Finals of the Bill Matthews Memorial Cup only to loose to the eventual winners, the Artful Dodger after being 3-1 up at Half time.
The season ended with the news that the Vic are not competing in the league next season, the club have no pitch to use next season, and as such is forced to make the decision.
